ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Mika Kobayashi, a Japanese calligrapher from Tokyo. I’ve been practicing calligraphy since I was six, and it’s become a significant part of my life. I’ve been fortunate enough to have my work exhibited in places like the National Art Center in Tokyo. I’m also really passionate about Chado, the Japanese tea ceremony, Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, and Kimono.
After moving to Berlin, I noticed how many people here are curious about Japanese culture, which made me excited to share what I love with others. In my workshops, I focus on the idea of "足るを知る" (Taruwoshiru), which is all about finding contentment in what we have. I believe that by appreciating the present moment and embracing simplicity, we can bring more balance into our busy lives.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and explore these beautiful Japanese traditions together.
